The position in short
- Submitting a registration form does not create a refund entitlement where no payment has been made, and it does not by itself reserve a seat.
- Refund eligibility depends on the specific course terms and your payment status. Course-specific refund terms displayed at the time of purchase/registration will apply.
- If Cybethix cancels a paid batch or program, we will clearly tell affected learners what refund or alternative arrangement applies.
- Duplicate payments are reviewed and handled appropriately.
- Requests must be sent to connect@cybethix.com. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
This summary is for convenience only. The full text below applies.
1.Scope
This policy applies to courses, programs, crash courses and batches offered by Cybethix that you register for through this website. It explains how cancellation and refund requests are handled.
Course-specific terms apply
Course-specific refund terms displayed at the time of purchase/registration will apply.
If those course-specific terms differ from this page, they apply to that course. Where a course states nothing specific, this policy applies. Security services for organisations (such as VAPT, incident response, consultation or corporate training) are governed by the written proposal or agreement for that engagement.
2.Registration vs Paid Enrollment
Registration and paid enrollment are different stages.
- Registration means submitting the course registration form. It tells us you are interested and gives us your details. It does not involve payment through the form, does not by itself confirm a seat, and does not create a refund entitlement where no payment has been made.
- Paid enrollment begins when you have made the applicable payment and Cybethix has confirmed your seat. Refund and cancellation rules apply to paid enrollment.
If you have registered but not paid, you can simply choose not to proceed. Letting us know by email helps us offer the seat to someone else.
3.Cancellation Before Course Commencement
If you have paid and want to cancel before your course or batch starts, email us at connect@cybethix.com as early as you can.
Whether a refund is available, and whether any deduction applies (for example payment-gateway or bank charges, or an administrative fee), depends on the course-specific terms shown at registration or purchase. If a cancellation window applies to your course, it will be stated there.
Where no specific term is shown, we will review your request fairly and in good faith, taking into account your payment status, how close the start date is, and whether a seat or materials have already been set aside for you.
4.Refunds After Course Access Begins
Once you have been given access to live sessions, recordings, lab environments or course materials, or once the batch has started, part of the course has been delivered to you and a refund is not automatic.
We review such requests individually, taking into account the course-specific terms, how much of the course you have accessed, and applicable law. If you believe the course is materially different from how it was described to you, please tell us promptly and with details, and we will look into it.
5.Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
If you have paid twice, or paid an amount different from the amount due, email us promptly with your name, the course, the date and amount, and the transaction reference or proof of payment.
We will review the payment records. Where a duplicate or excess payment is verified, the extra amount will be refunded or, if you prefer, adjusted against your enrollment.
6.Course Cancellation or Rescheduling by Cybethix
If Cybethix cancels a paid batch or program, we will tell affected learners clearly, using the contact details they gave us, and explain the applicable refund or alternative arrangement, such as a transfer to another batch or course where available.
If a batch is rescheduled and the new dates do not work for you, contact us. We will discuss the options available, including transfer or refund as appropriate to the circumstances.
7.Student Inability to Attend
If you are unable to attend for personal reasons, or miss sessions after the course has started, this does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Please tell us as early as possible so we can talk through the options, which may include joining a later batch or accessing recordings where those are available for your course.
8.Course Transfer / Batch Change
You may ask to move to a different batch, or to a different course. Transfers depend on availability, the course-specific terms and the timing of your request, and are not guaranteed. If moving to another course involves a difference in fees, we will tell you the difference before the transfer is confirmed.
9.Refund Processing
We will confirm in writing, by email, whether a refund has been approved. Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method where operationally possible; if that is not possible, we will agree another traceable method with you.
We will tell you the expected timeline when a refund is approved. Banks and payment providers may need additional time to credit the amount. Any deduction will be limited to what is stated in the applicable course terms and explained to you before the refund is made.
10.Exceptional Cases
We understand that circumstances such as a medical emergency, a serious personal event, or a technical or delivery problem on our side can arise. We review such requests case by case, in good faith, and may ask for reasonable supporting information. The review does not guarantee a particular outcome.
11.Applicable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under applicable law, including consumer protection laws, that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If any part of this policy conflicts with such a right, the law prevails to that extent.
12.Contact
