1.Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at www.cybethix.com and your registration for, and participation in, courses, programs and related training offered by Cybethix (“Cybethix”, “we”, “us”). Cybethix provides cybersecurity education, training and related services.
They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Disclaimer.
2.Acceptance of Terms
By using the website, submitting a registration or contact form, making a payment or joining a course, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or enrol in a course.
Where a course page, registration form or confirmation message states additional or different terms for a particular course, those course-specific terms also apply to that course. If there is a conflict, the course-specific terms apply to that course to the extent of the conflict.
3.Eligibility and User Responsibility
You must provide accurate, complete and current information when you register or contact us, and keep it up to date.
If you are under 18, you may enrol only where applicable law allows it and, where required, with the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian. We may ask for confirmation of this.
You are responsible for your own conduct, for keeping any login or access details confidential, for the devices and internet connection you use, and for complying with applicable laws.
4.Course Information
Course details on the website, such as status, price, duration, curriculum and audience, are provided to help you decide. They may change and may not yet be complete for every program. Please confirm the details that matter to you with Cybethix before registering.
Some programs (for example advanced specialisations) may need prior knowledge or technical experience. You should review the prerequisites and curriculum, where published, before you enrol.
Prices are shown in Indian rupees (₹). The price that applies to you is the one shown or confirmed to you at the time of registration. Any early-bird or promotional price applies only for the period and conditions stated with it.
5.Registration and Admission
Registration is made through the form linked from the course page. Submitting the form tells us you are interested; it does not by itself confirm admission or reserve a seat.
A seat is confirmed only after the applicable registration, payment and confirmation process is completed and Cybethix confirms it, subject to batch availability and the specific course terms. Cybethix may decline or withdraw a registration, for example if a batch is full, the information given is incomplete or inaccurate, or these Terms are breached.
6.Fees and Payments
Fees for paid programs are as stated on the course page or in the confirmation you receive. Payment instructions are shared after registration through the contact details you provide. Where taxes or additional charges apply, they will be stated before you pay.
Please make payments only through the method and to the account details that Cybethix communicates to you through its official contact channels, and keep your payment reference. Cybethix is not responsible for payments sent anywhere else.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which you should read before making payment.
7.Course Access and Delivery
The format, schedule, platform and access details for each course or batch are communicated when you register or when your seat is confirmed. Access is personal to you and is for your own learning only. You must not share your access, recordings, lab credentials or materials with others.
You are responsible for the equipment, software and internet connection needed to take part. Cybethix does not guarantee uninterrupted access or availability of any platform, lab or service and is not responsible for interruptions outside its reasonable control.
8.Attendance and Participation
Learning outcomes depend on your own participation and effort. Where a course states attendance, participation, assignment or assessment requirements, you are expected to meet them. Please behave respectfully towards instructors and other learners; disruptive, abusive or unsafe conduct may lead to action under “Suspension or Termination”.
9.Course Material and Intellectual Property
The website, course content, slides, notes, recordings, lab designs, exercises, logos and branding belong to Cybethix or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use course materials for your own learning. You must not copy, record, distribute, resell, publish, share or create derivative works from them without our prior written permission.
10.Acceptable Use
You may use the website and our courses only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or its related systems, introduce malicious code, overload or disrupt it, scrape it in a way that harms its operation, or use it to harass others or break the law.
11.Cybersecurity Training and Legal Use
Authorised use only
Cybethix cybersecurity training is intended for lawful, authorised and educational purposes. Nothing in any course grants you permission to test, access or attack any system you do not own or are not explicitly authorised to test.
You must not use any knowledge, technique, tool or demonstration provided through Cybethix to attack, compromise, disrupt, access or interfere with any system, network, account, website, device or data without proper authorisation.
Any practical testing you carry out must be limited to:
- systems that you own;
- intentionally vulnerable labs;
- environments explicitly provided by Cybethix; or
- systems for which you hold documented authorisation from the owner.
You are personally responsible for any unlawful use of cybersecurity knowledge. Unauthorised access to computer systems can be a criminal offence and can lead to civil liability under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable laws. No part of any course, material, lab or instruction authorises security testing against third-party systems.
12.Prohibited Activities
In connection with Cybethix, you must not:
- attack, scan, probe, exploit or attempt to disrupt any system, network or account without authorisation, including during or after a course;
- attack or interfere with Cybethix’s own websites, labs, platforms or other learners’ environments, except for exercises expressly set within an assigned lab;
- access, steal, expose, alter or destroy data, credentials or accounts that are not yours;
- create, distribute or deploy malware, ransomware or similar tools against anyone, or use course material to do so;
- conduct surveillance, stalking, fraud, extortion or impersonation;
- share lab access, credentials, recordings or paid materials with others, or resell them;
- give false identity or payment information, or misuse a payment method;
- encourage or help anyone else to do any of the above.
13.Certificates
Certificate eligibility depends on the specific course and its completion requirements. Where a certificate is offered, it may be subject to attendance, participation, assessments, assignments, practical work or other criteria stated for that course. A certificate from Cybethix confirms participation or completion as stated on it; it is not a professional certification from any third-party body.
Course completion does not guarantee employment, salary, placement, promotion, freelancing income, bug bounty earnings, professional certification or any business result.
14.Third-Party Platforms and Services
Registration, communication, meetings, labs or learning may involve third-party platforms and tools, such as Google Forms, Google Sheets and other providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which you must follow. Cybethix is not responsible for their availability, content or conduct.
The website may link to external websites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
15.Changes to Courses, Schedule or Content
We may update course content, tools, schedules, trainers, formats or batch plans, for example to keep material current, because of availability, or for reasons outside our control. Where a change materially affects a paid course you have enrolled in, we will tell you through your contact details. If Cybethix cancels a paid batch, the Refund & Cancellation Policy explains what happens.
We may also update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website or course after an update means you accept the updated Terms; for a course you have already paid for, changes that materially reduce your rights will not apply to you without your agreement.
16.Suspension or Termination
Cybethix may suspend or end your access to a course, lab or platform, and may decline or cancel your registration, if you breach these Terms, act unlawfully, misuse lab or course resources, harm other learners or the Cybethix systems, or give false information. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you the reason first.
If your access is ended because of your own breach or unlawful conduct, you will not be entitled to a refund except where the law requires it. You may stop using the website or leave a course at any time; refunds on leaving are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
17.Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and all course content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not give any warranty that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that course content will meet your particular goals, or that any technique or defensive method will work in a particular real-world environment.
Cybethix does not guarantee employment, placement, income or any other outcome from taking a course. Please also read our Disclaimer.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.
18.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cybethix and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the website or courses or your reliance on their content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with a course is limited to the fees you actually paid to Cybethix for that course.
Cybethix is not liable for any loss or damage caused by your own unlawful, unauthorised or negligent use of cybersecurity knowledge or tools, including any consequence of testing a system without authorisation.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
19.Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate Cybethix for losses, claims, costs and reasonable legal expenses that arise from a third-party claim or regulatory action caused by your breach of these Terms or your unlawful or unauthorised use of cybersecurity knowledge, tools or access gained through Cybethix. This does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by Cybethix’s own fault, and it does not limit any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
20.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim before the forum that applicable consumer protection law gives you, the courts at Delhi, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
Before starting a formal process, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.
